Red - Melodramatic Overuse

Just what the label says - this is an ancient (oh well, a year, maybe?) digital painting. It's also one of my first digital paintings ever. The original picture had this horrible hood over his head, and he had no visible neck, but when I stumbled on it while trolling through my archives, I decided to give him a much-needed makeover. I'm still not very adept at using digital media, but I like to think that he doesn't look quite as horrible as he did, despite the over-use of melodramatic red and the abuse of the smudge-tool.

The character is this guy from a story I wrote long ago and never finished. Half-demon, swordsman (can we say stereotype? I knew we could), all around angstbucket. The latter which might explain all the red shades.
